I use my artwork to better understand the world and my place in it.

My work is multidisciplinary with a focus on drawing and painting techniques, over the course of my schooling at the University of North Texas I have forayed into sculpture, ceramics, photography, printmaking and analogue new media techniques. Experimentation with media has been central to my making process and growth as an artist and has been a constant since I began making art seriously in 2017 during high school.

I enjoy using color and texture to make the symptoms of being human a tangible experience. Vibrant color combinations create contrast between personalities and their environment to investigate dissonance and nostalgia. High saturation and saccharine hue obscure the reality of the situation, and color serves as an access to the shifting narrative beneath.

Writing has also emerged as a parallel practice to the artwork, I have enjoyed venturing into poetry and some fiction. Using words to further cement my ideas and figure out tone has been incredibly helpful for my work and has offered me another outlet for expression. Language and its rhythms help me decide which beats to emphasize to effectively communicate with viewers.
